湖北宝源木业有限公司于2002年成立，座落于美丽富饶的荆门市东宝区子陵镇，现有固定资产11.55亿元，职工1300人，年生产人造板能力为50万立方米，是国家高新技术企业、国家农业产业化重点龙头企业、国家现代林业东宝森工科技产业园核心企业、湖北省林业产业化龙头企业和荆门市重点调度企业。“宝源”注册商标被国家工商行政管理总局认定为“驰名保护”。
公司现有四条生产线，其中：一期于2003年投产，采用上海人造板机器厂有限公司的成套设备。二期于2005年投产，主要设备从德国、奥地利、美国、意大利引进。两条生产线均以小径材、枝桠材为主要原料，可生产2～44mm的中（高）密度纤维板，年生产能力23万立方米。三期于2010年投产，主要设备和工艺从德国迪芬巴赫公司、帕尔曼公司和美国gts公司引进，以规格意杨为主要原材料，可生产厚度为6～40mm的定向结构板，设计年生产能力22万立方米。与定向结构板生产线配套的均质刨花板生产线于2011年投产，年生产能力5万立方米。四条生产线毗邻而建，实行木材统一收购、分类存放，分树种、分等级供纤维板和定向结构板生产线使用。定向结构板生产线的下角料供均质刨花板生产线使用。三条生产线加工所产生的树皮及边角废料，作为两个能源工厂的燃料向四条生产线供热，既节省能源，又减少排放，实现了资源最佳利用。
公司坚持不断开发具有宝源特色的新产品，始终保持在国内同行业中产品质量领先。目前已形成了纤维板、精木板、地板、木门、贴面板等五大类近百种产品，行销全国31个省（市、自治区）。产品主要用于装饰装修、家俱、地板、木质结构房、机械包装、日用包装、集装箱底板、客车及冷藏车底板、火车及轮船的装配。
