新野县奇盛板业有限责任公司，成立于2010年10月，依托原新野县刨花板厂经济及技术力量，自1996年以来在生产和经营传统刨花板产品的同时，成立了科研小组，在刨花板生产、胶粘剂的制备方面做出了不懈的努力，尤其是从1998年开始，多年反复试验利用农作物秸秆做原料生产人造板的新技术和新工艺。经过多年反复试验，终于攻克了利用麦秸秆作原料生产人造板材过程中的关键技术难题，研制出环保型高压人造板材。
公司于2011年3月份在新野县产业聚集区内开工建设了产10万立方米小麦秸秆人造板生产线项目，项目总投资3亿元，占地170亩，分两期实施。
该项目工艺技术系目前国内外的生产工艺，用工少，效率高，即以小麦秸秆为原料，以经改性处理后的异氰酸酯(p-md1)为胶粘剂，经过对小麦秸秆扁平窄长刨花加工、干燥、分选、施胶，经定向铺装后热压而成的多层结构板材工艺（亦可称为定向结构麦秸板）。该工艺打破了传统的刨花板材用途，公司研制的小麦秸秆高压板可用于室内装修、室内家具和地板、军工板房、出口包装及船舶装修、具有质轻、优良的物理学性能和绿色环保等特点，是具发展潜力的理想环保节能替代木材的板材。
